The history of Hollywood adaptations of popular games and dates back to some classic films like Super Mario Bros. (1993), Street Fighter (1994) and Mortal Kombat (1995), but since then, none of them has managed to stand out too much for their cinematographic achievements but rather an inevitable trend to lack of sophistication and crudest fan service .
